Sukabumi Regency Indonesian: Kabupaten Sukabumi is a regency of West Java, Indonesia. Pelabuhan Ratu is its administrative capital. The city of Sukabumi is fully encircled by the regency, but is administratively separate from it The bulk of the regency's population of 2.3 million lives in the north-eastern part of the regency that encircles Sukabumi City and Mount Gede.
Along the south coast here are several beaches such as Pasir Putih Beach, Pangumbahan Beach (Turtle Beach), Cibuaya Beach and Ujunggenteng Beach. Batu Nunggul Beach is suitable for surfing with wave height approximately 3 meters in dry season, but only 1 meter height in rainy season.

Besides Ocean Fiesta every year on 5 April in Pelabuhan Ratu Beach, there is also Ngabungbang tradition in Cisukawayana River Estuary on every full moon of Maulud 14 of the month in early morning. Ngabungbang or holy bath togetherness is tradition since 175-205 BC when King Hyang Brahma ruling Medang Gali Kingdom and is continued by Prabu Siliwangi from Pajajaran Kingdom and then is continued until now.
